Siegmund System 16 Workbenches
Siegmund System 16 workbenches are compact fixture benches with Ø16 mm bores on a 50 mm grid. Steel-plate models use a plasma-nitrided, BAR-coated S355J2+N top 12 mm (0.47 in) thick; aluminum-top models use 24 mm (0.94 in) aluminum table profiles. Sizes are 1200 x 800, 1500 x 1000 and 2000 x 1000 mm, with a fixed 900 mm or adjustable 800–975 mm working height depending on the model. Siegmund lists a maximum load of 400 kg (882 lb). Exclusive Canadian importer of Siegmund. Ships across Canada from St. Marys, ON; most orders ship within 48 hours.
These benches take System 16 tooling only. System 16 accessories also fit other 16 mm tables with Ø16 mm bores on a 50 mm grid.

Steel plate or aluminum top
Choose a steel plate for general welding and fixturing: the S355J2+N plate is plasma-nitrided and BAR-coated. Choose an aluminum top when weight matters: the 1200 x 800 mm aluminum bench weighs 38 kg (84 lb) per Siegmund, against 100 kg (220 lb) for the steel version. On aluminum profiles, Siegmund says bolts must only be tightened hand-tight and recommends the Areal Clamping Bolt 160590.
Fixed or height-adjustable working height
Height-adjustable steel models run from 800 to 975 mm (31.5–38.4 in). Aluminum-top models and some steel models are fixed at 900 mm (35.4 in). Check the working height on each product page.
Plate only or incl. accessories
Plate-only benches ship without clamping hardware; Siegmund lists the Hand Clamping Bolt 160514 for clamping. The incl. accessories versions add 4 Basic Screw Clamps for workbench, 8 clamping bolts and 8 aluminum Stop and Clamping Squares.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the steel and aluminum tops?
Steel-plate workbenches use a plasma-nitrided, BAR-coated S355J2+N perforated plate 12 mm (0.47 in) thick. Aluminum-top models use aluminum table profiles 24 mm (0.94 in) thick and are much lighter: Siegmund lists 38 kg for the 1200 x 800 mm aluminum bench against 100 kg for the steel version. On aluminum, Siegmund says bolts must only be tightened hand-tight.
Is the working height adjustable?
It depends on the model. Several steel-plate workbenches are height-adjustable from 800 to 975 mm (31.5 to 38.4 in). The aluminum-top benches and some steel models have a fixed working height of 900 mm (35.4 in). Each product page states which one you get.
What is in the incl. accessories versions?
The incl. accessories workbenches add 4 Basic Screw Clamps for workbench (160621), 8 clamping bolts and 8 Stop and Clamping Squares in aluminum (4 x 160108.A and 4 x 160109.A). Steel benches get Fast Clamping Bolts (160511); the aluminum bench gets Areal Clamping Bolts (160590).
Will System 28 accessories fit these workbenches?
No. These are System 16 workbenches with Ø16 mm bores on a 50 mm grid. Use System 16 clamps, bolts and stops. System 16 accessories also fit other 16 mm tables with Ø16 mm bores on a 50 mm grid.
