Which bolt should I use to connect two System 16 tables?
Use a connecting bolt. Siegmund designed the Connecting Bolt 160560.N and the Connecting Bolt with Collar 160583 as fixed long-term connections between large components such as tables and Square U-Shapes. Siegmund says fast clamping, universal, areal clamping, flush mount and positioning bolts must not be used to connect tables or Square U-Shapes.
Which bolts are suitable for aluminum profiles?
Siegmund recommends the Fast Clamping Bolt without Slot 160511 and the Areal Clamping Bolts 160590 and 160595 for aluminum profiles, and the Connecting Bolt with Collar 160583 is especially suitable for aluminum. The Flush Mount Bolt without Slot 2-AP160528 (AP160528) is only for aluminum profiles. Siegmund says aluminum parts must only be tightened hand-tight. The Connecting Bolt 160560.N and the Flush Mount Bolt 160528 are not suitable for aluminum profiles.
Which bolt joins parts of different material thickness?
The Universal Bolts. Siegmund gives a clamping range of 22–28 mm for the short (double) and 34–40 mm for the long (triple) Universal Bolt (double 160532 and triple 160533), clamped with the integrated handwheel or a hex wrench 6 (item 280852.1). The Adjustable Fast Clamping Bolt 160571 sets its clamping dimension (12–24 mm) with a knurled thimble ring.

Siegmund says the Fast Clamping Bolt Flat without Slot 160524 is mainly used for clamping elongated holes, and the Connecting Bolt with Collar 160583 also works in elongated holes.
