Which bolt should I use to connect two System 28 tables?
Use a connecting bolt. Siegmund designed the Connecting Bolt 2-280560.N (280560.N) and the Connecting Bolt with Collar 2-280583 (280583) as fixed long-term connections between large components such as tables and U-shaped squares. Siegmund says fast clamping, universal, areal clamping, flush mount and positioning bolts must not be used to connect tables or U-shaped squares.
Which bolts are suitable for aluminum profiles?
Siegmund recommends the Fast Clamping Bolt without Slot 2-280511 (280511) and the Areal Clamping Bolts 2-280590 (280590) and 2-280595 (280595) for aluminum profiles, and the Connecting Bolt with Collar 2-280583 (280583) is especially suitable for aluminum. The Flush Mount Bolt without Slot 2-AP280528 (AP280528) is only for aluminum profiles. Siegmund says aluminum parts must only be tightened hand-tight. The Connecting Bolt 2-280560.N and the hexagonal 2-280550.1 are not suitable for aluminum profiles.

The Adjustable Fast Clamping Bolt 2-280571 (280571) sets its clamping dimension (25–50 or 50–75 mm) with a knurled thimble ring.
