From October 7th to 10th 2025, we hosted a live demonstration event for future customers interested in seeing the THG Automation cobot arm and the Siegmund welding table that supports it. It was an incredible experience, the perfect combination, since the cobot arm needs a flat, high-resistance welding table to operate efficiently.
During the event, we had the opportunity to hear great feedback from attendees who already use Siegmund welding tables in their own shops. In the video below, you can see how the THG Automation team customized the Siegmund table to mount the Fronius system, which powers the cobot for welding.
Visitors brought their own real-world examples and workpieces, which BTH Sales helped set up for live welding demonstrations. The THG team showcased how their cobot system adapts to different applications with precision and ease. Guests also enjoyed some Stratford’s famous sandwiches and delicious Mennonite donuts, adding a local flavor to the event.
The days flew by quickly as we ran live samples and hands-on demos. The THG Automation team came fully prepared with a display screen and welding helmets, allowing visitors to safely watch the cobot welding in real time. This open house also marked an important milestone, strengthening the three-year partnership between BTH Sales and THG Automation.
How to Program the THG Cobot ?
The THG Automation team explained that the cobot’s software is extremely user-friendly. Even someone without welding experience can quickly learn how to operate it. Speaking from experience (as the marketing guy myself) I was amazed at how fast I picked it up. The intuitive programming makes automation more accessible than ever.
Why the Welding Table Matters for a Cobot?
For a cobot welder to perform accurately, it must operate on a perfectly flat and stable surface. Since welding also generates high heat, the table needs to withstand extreme temperatures. That’s why the Siegmund welding table is the ideal foundation for THG Automation’s cobot system durable, heat-resistant, and built for precision.
What Makes the THG Cobot Different?
THG Automation goes a step further by designing custom trays and supports that securely hold the Fronius system on the Siegmund welding table. This innovation enhances workflow, keeps components organized, and ensures a smoother welding process from start to finish.
Was a great week for BTH Sales and THG automation in which all parties left surprised and happy after the demonstrations.
