How many chain links do I need for my pipe?
Orbitalservice gives the formula: pipe outside diameter x π / 65. For example, a 300 mm OD pipe needs about 15 links. The kit includes 30 links (TC-610).
Can it handle out-of-round pipe or different diameters?
Yes. Orbitalservice offers additional links (TC-611) for adjusting ovalities and different pipe diameters at the joint.
What joints and process is it designed for?
It fixes pipe to pipe, pipe to fitting, pipe to tee and more so you can tack the joint manually with the TIG process before final welding. Only stainless steel parts touch the pipe.
