Item 2-280650 (280650): the Siegmund Duo Prism Ø40 is a Ø 40 mm prism (V-block) that works both in System 28 bores and on System 28 screw clamps. Sold in Canada by BTH Sales, exclusive Canadian importer of Siegmund; ships from St. Marys, Ontario.
Its 120° V gives a stable support for round pipe, and the levelled corners also suit flat welding parts.

Compatibility
- Fits: Siegmund System 28 bores and System 28 screw clamps (spindle ball Ø 16 mm). The polyamide version 2-280650.PA is for clamps only. Also fits other 28 mm system welding tables with Ø 28 mm bores on a 100 mm grid.
- Not compatible with: System 16 (Ø 16 mm bores) or System 22 (Ø 22 mm bores) tables and tools – use the Siegmund S16 Duo Prism Ø25.
- Works with: Siegmund S28 Professional Screw Clamp.
What's included
1 × Duo Prism Ø 40 in the selected material (burnished steel, aluminum or polyamide).
Typical uses
- Supporting round pipe in a bore during tacking
- Clamping pipe with a System 28 screw clamp fitted with the prism
- Polyamide version for scratch-sensitive surfaces
- Light to heavy workpieces: Siegmund describes System 28 as ideal for light to heavy components and designed for maximum clamping forces, multi-ton structures and high distortion forces
Industries served: Siegmund's published practical examples show its welding tables and tooling in agriculture, interior fit-out, lighting and electrical engineering, machine tools and plant construction, measurement and testing technology, motorcycle engineering, revolving door systems, robotic technology, stage technology, stainless steel processing, steel, sheet metal and metal construction, textile production, train construction, vehicle construction, welding technology and woodworking.
FAQ
Can the Duo Prism go in a bore and on a clamp?
The burnished and aluminum versions fit 28 mm bores and System 28 clamps. Siegmund lists the polyamide 2-280650.PA as suitable for clamps only.
Which clamp spindle does it fit?
Spindles with a 16 mm ball diameter, per Siegmund. That is the spindle ball size, not the table bore.
Which material should I choose?
Burnished steel for general work, aluminum for lower weight (0.09 kg), polyamide for scratch-sensitive surfaces.
Will it fit a System 16 table?
No. It is a System 28 part (28 mm bores). System 16 uses the Duo Prism Ø 25.
Will it fit other 28 mm welding tables?
Yes, if the table has Ø 28 mm bores. Siegmund System 28 tables have Ø 28 mm bores on a 100 × 100 mm (or diagonal) grid and a material thickness of about 24.5–27 mm, so check your table's bore diameter and plate thickness before ordering. Ask us if you are unsure.
