Can I use the oilstone on a plasma-nitrided table?
No. Siegmund lists the oilstone as suitable for non-nitrided welding tables and accessories. For a plasma-nitrided table, use anti-spatter before welding and CleanBasic after welding.
Why not use a flex disc or grinder?
Siegmund strongly advises against other abrasives and grinding machines such as flex discs on the table surface. The oilstone removes damage and spatter while keeping the surface smooth.
Which size should I order?
Siegmund makes two sizes: 000940 at 200 x 50 x 25 mm and 000942 at 150 x 50 x 25 mm. Both have the same purpose; pick the one that suits your hand and the area you need to dress.
