Item 160015.X7D: Siegmund System 16 Professional Extreme 8.7 welding table, 1200 x 1200 mm, with Ø16 mm bores on a 50 x 50 mm grid on the top and bored 100 mm sides. The top is through-hardened X8.7 tool steel, plasma nitrided and BAR-coated, with ribbed construction. Siegmund recommends System 16 for light to medium-duty work and precision fixtures: the close 50 mm grid lets small components be fixed with high precision. BTH Sales is the exclusive Canadian importer of Siegmund.

Compatibility

What's included

  • Table top 1200 x 1200 x 100 mm with plasma-nitrided surface and sides
  • 4 legs of the selected type, with mounting screws
  • Shipped as a kit on a pallet; you screw the legs to the table top on site

Drawings & CAD

Siegmund publishes a data sheet and STEP data for this article on siegmund.com (the STEP download needs a Siegmund login). Need a drawing or 3D model for your layout? Ask BTH Sales and we will send it.

Engineering support & demos

Engineering support comes with your purchase: fixture design, layout drawings, CAD and 3D models, site visits and cobot cell planning, handled by Travis Hardcastle at BTH Sales or by Siegmund directly. BTH Sales does not sell cobots; for cobot cells we help with table integration and fixturing (see cobot welding with Siegmund tables). Live demos at our St. Marys showroom are by appointment (book a demo), and we offer video demos if you are outside Ontario. BTH Sales is family-owned, founded in 2001, and has been the exclusive Canadian importer of Siegmund since 2018.

Typical uses

  • Fine details and precision fixtures: Siegmund recommends System 16 for light to medium-duty work and finely dimensioned welded structures with minimal distortion.
  • Precise, repeatable fixtures: the grid lines on the top allow precise constructions, and the bored 100 mm sides add clamping faces.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which legs should I choose for this table?

Choose standard legs for a fixed working height, or height-adjustable legs if you need to change the height; Siegmund says the height-adjustable legs keep their full load-bearing capacity at any height. Caster legs with locking brake let you move the table, but Siegmund rates them lower than the fixed legs, especially while rolling. Floor-anchoring legs anchor the table to the floor for applications that demand stability. The Leg options table above lists each Siegmund article and its static load per leg.

Will System 28 accessories fit this System 16 table?

Not directly. Siegmund builds each system around one bore size, so this table takes System 16 (Ø16 mm) bolts, clamps, stops and squares. All System 16 tool parts and sets fit every System 16 table series, and Siegmund offers connecting elements if you need to work across systems. System 16 uses a 50 mm bore grid for finer, precise fixtures; System 28 is Siegmund's heavy-duty system.

How should I clean and protect the plasma-nitrided surface?

Siegmund recommends its anti-spatter spray before welding, CleanBasic cleaner after welding, a bore brush for the holes, and a light coat of non-corrosive oil if the table will stand unused. Avoid acids and abrasive cleaners, and do not use an oilstone on a plasma-nitrided table. Remove clamps and other accessories before cleaning.

How is the table delivered and set up?

Siegmund ships the table as a kit on a pallet, and you screw the legs to the table top on site with the screws supplied. BTH Sales ships tables by freight from St. Marys, Ontario, or you can pick up from our warehouse. Email sales@bthsales.ca with your delivery city for a freight quote. This table is a stock item, so we can usually confirm your ship date when you order. Please inquire if you need lift gate delivery.

What do I gain with the 8.7 PLUS version of this size?

The 8.7 PLUS has 150 mm table sides instead of 100 mm, giving more clamping positions, and Siegmund says the higher side and ribbing make the top stiffer and reduce deformation under load. Both versions use plasma-nitrided X8.7 tool steel, and Siegmund rates the standard legs of both at 1,000 kg static load per leg.
