Siegmund System 28 accessories you buy for this table also fit other 28 mm system welding tables with Ø28 mm bores. Compatible tables from other manufacturers are often made from different materials and to different standards, so quality varies by manufacturer, compared with Siegmund's X8.8 tool steel.
- Not compatible: System 16 (Ø16 mm) tooling without Siegmund connecting elements.
- Care & grounding: anti-spatter spray, CleanBasic cleaner, Ground Connection Comfort (S16/S28).

Frequently Asked Questions
Which legs should I choose for this table?
Choose standard legs for a fixed working height, or height-adjustable legs if you need to change the height; Siegmund says the height-adjustable legs keep their full load-bearing capacity at any height. Caster legs with locking brake let you move the table, but Siegmund rates them lower than the fixed legs, especially while rolling. Floor-anchoring legs anchor the table to the floor for applications that demand stability. The Leg options table above lists each Siegmund article and its static load per leg.
Will System 16 accessories fit this System 28 table?
Not directly. Siegmund builds each system around one bore size, so this table takes System 28 (Ø28 mm) bolts, clamps, stops and squares. All System 28 tool parts and sets fit every System 28 table series, and Siegmund offers connecting elements if you need to work across systems. System 28 is Siegmund's heavy-duty system; System 16 is its 50 mm grid system for finer fixtures.
How should I clean and protect the plasma-nitrided surface?
Siegmund recommends its anti-spatter spray before welding, CleanBasic cleaner after welding, a bore brush for the holes, and a light coat of non-corrosive oil if the table will stand unused. Avoid acids and abrasive cleaners, and do not use an oilstone on a plasma-nitrided table. Remove clamps and other accessories before cleaning.
How is the table delivered and set up?
Siegmund ships the table as a kit on a pallet, and you screw the legs to the table top on site with the screws supplied. How does the 8.8 PLUS differ from the 8.7 table in this size?
The 8.8 PLUS has 300 mm table sides instead of 200 mm, giving more clamping positions, and Siegmund says the higher side and ribbing make the top stiffer and reduce deformation under load. It is made of X8.8 tool steel, which Siegmund rates harder than X8.7 after plasma nitriding (about 500–900 HV surface hardness against 450–850 HV), and its PLUS standard legs are rated at 3,000 kg static load per leg instead of 2,000 kg.
