GEF Weld Kube Mobile Welding Fume Extractor
The GEF Weld Kube is a mobile welding fume extraction unit designed for source-capture removal of welding smoke, fumes, and airborne particles in both light-duty and continuous fabrication environments. Built for flexibility, it can be positioned directly at the welding station using an integrated extraction arm, making it suitable for workshops where portability and adaptability are essential.
Designed for occasional or intensive welding applications, the Weld Kube provides a practical alternative to fixed extraction systems, allowing operators to move the unit between workstations as needed. Its compact, mobile design makes it well suited for fabrication shops, maintenance welding, training facilities, and general industrial welding environments where localized fume extraction is required.
Multi-Stage Filtration System for Welding Fume Control
The Weld Kube uses a three-stage filtration system designed to progressively capture welding fumes and particulates at different levels of filtration.
Incoming air first passes through a metal spark arrestor filter, helping protect downstream filter stages from sparks and larger particles generated during welding or grinding operations. A synthetic pre-filter then captures finer matter, including oil mist and process-related residues.
The final stage consists of a high-efficiency pocket filter (F9 or H13), capable of achieving >99.99% filtration efficiency, making it suitable for fine welding fumes and high-purity air filtration requirements. This multi-stage design helps maintain consistent airflow performance while extending overall filter life and system efficiency.
Mobility and Operator-Friendly Design
The Weld Kube is designed for practical day-to-day use in dynamic workshop environments. A 3-metre (9.8 ft) extraction arm allows operators to position the capture point directly at the welding source, while the mobile base enables easy relocation between work areas.
A built-in handlebar system supports safe movement of the unit, while a hinged maintenance door provides quick access for filter changes and routine maintenance. The integrated fan module includes soundproof insulation, helping reduce operating noise in the workspace.
System status and maintenance intervals can be monitored through a multifunction display, which includes a switch, pressure gauge, and hour counter, allowing operators to track filter condition and service requirements in real time.
