Siegmund says the U-square is bolted to the table with connecting bolts. Siegmund designs its System 28 Connecting Bolt (280560.N) as a fixed long-term connection between large components such as tables and U-shaped squares, and says it should not be used in elongated holes.
Does it need support as a table extension?
Yes. Siegmund says that when a U-square is used as a table extension exceeding 1,000 mm, it has to be supported by a table leg, and that from a length of 500 mm all U-squares have mounting holes on the back to attach table legs.
