Compatible tables from other manufacturers are often made from different materials and to different standards, so quality varies by manufacturer, compared with Siegmund's X8.7 tool steel.
Siegmund System 28: fits every System 28 Siegmund table, including the Professional Extreme 8.7 and 8.8 PLUS tables listed on bthsales.ca; on a System 16 table it needs Siegmund's Reduction Bushing 28->16 (000546, suits boreholes and elongated holes) with System 16 bolts, or the Combination Fast Clamping Bolt 28->16 (000520); neither is listed on bthsales.ca.

The two versions differ only in which side the stop is on. Siegmund lists the same size (280 x 95 x 500 mm, 27 mm material thickness) and weight (17.5 kg) for both and recommends ordering this square in pairs.

Can the 500 GK square be used as a table extension?

Yes. Siegmund says the 500 GK serves both as a stop and as a table extension, and that it was specifically designed for heavy parts, so it is made from GGG40 ductile cast iron for maximum stability.

Will it fit other 28 mm welding tables?
