Why choose the version with collar?
Siegmund says it is also suitable for use in elongated holes and especially suitable for aluminum; a special flat screw gives a better fit when connecting aluminum profiles.
How tight should I clamp aluminum parts?
Siegmund says the clamping torque depends on the material, and that when clamping aluminum parts the bolts must only be tightened hand-tight.
Will it fit other 16 mm welding tables?
Yes, if the table has Ø16 mm bores on a 50 mm grid. Check the bore diameter and grid before ordering. Compatible tables from other manufacturers are often made from different materials and to different standards, so quality varies by manufacturer, compared with Siegmund's X8.7 tool steel.
