How purge caps work
Each Orbitalservice purge cap screws over the pipe end with a union nut and two TPU air cushions; its central hose connector takes either a clamping-ring fitting or a plug-in coupling. The body is 3D printed in PETG, and Orbitalservice calls it the world's first purge cap from a 3D printer. The size range covers everything from small instrumentation tube up to 114.3 mm (4 1/2") OD.

How do I fit a purge cap on the pipe?
Orbitalservice says the cap goes over the outside end of the pipe and is fixed with a union nut on a large screw thread. As you screw it down, two doughnut-shaped TPU air cushions inside press on the outside of the tube. The gas line connects to the screw hose connector in the middle of the body.
What fittings are compatible with the Purge Caps?
The screw hose connector in the middle of the cap body takes either a clamping wedge-ring (compression) fitting or a plug-in push-in coupling.
